Deputy PM says govt to let RusHydro sell 4.92% in Inter RAO

MOSCOW, Jun 27 (PRIME) -- The government has allowed hydropower company RusHydro to sell a 4.92% stake in Inter RAO, and Inter RAO can buy the stake, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev said at an annual general meeting of the shareholders on Wednesday.

“In principle, the government has in fact decided, we will discuss this at a meeting of the board of directors, after that a corresponding deal will be signed,” Trutnev said.

In May, Kommersant business daily reported that Inter RAO may buy back its shares from RusHydro. Later Inter RAO denied media reports that it may buy 23.5% of its shares from RusHydro and Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES).
